My Fall

Oh my garage door, I have put too much time between my posts. I'm sorry. sometimes writing makes me feel better, so I feel like I need to write.
all month I have had an aching feeling. a yearning to be in Idaho or Minnesota. the longing to be there at my favorite time of year. I feel like I am missing something amazing and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I LOVE the Fall. it is my absolute favorite time of year! the weather is changing and the nights become cool and crisp. within the next month, jeans and a hoodie will become practically a must. the leaves become the most amazing colours of yellow, orange, tan, and red. helicopters start to fall from the trees. there starts to become a calm in the air. loved ones hold hands and cuddle up a little bit more because of the chilly breeze. fashion changes as do outside activities. riding your bike might turn your nose, cheeks, and ears a little pink, but that is okay cuz it is cute. soon you'll need to sit on the ground with a blanket so your bum doesn't get cold. knee high socks can be worn again and your wind blown curls will keep you warmer. there are these bushes on campus that look as if they are on fire as they turn this beautiful shade of blazing red. they are my favorite to see. with Fall comes Halloween and, most importantly, the day AFTER Halloween. and then follows the amazing holiday of Thanksgiving.

candy, apple cider, pumpkin rolls... jack-o-lanterns, raked leaves, haunted houses, hay rides, farmers market... jeans, hoddies, scarfs, cute boots...

I love Texas, but how can it compare? you can have some of those here, but the EXPERIENCE is very much different. I'm going to truly miss my Fall this year, but it will be okay. I'll just pretend.
