Honk honk!

yup. this morning was my 1st time honking at someone while i was driving. it was around 6:34am when this insane-psycho-freak decided to try to take off the front end of my car. can you say rude?!? come on...i know my car is small, but is it really THAT small? i have a little horn, they might not have even heard it, but i pushed on it nonetheless. it kinda felt good! doesn't mean i'll go around honking at everyone, but at least i had the guts to stand up for my little car the best i could, right?

Shelf Reliance

it is offical! i am a shelf reliance consultant now! like, i bought the kit and set up my amazing "Q" and everything! i'm planning my 1st party for the week before jacob and i head back to idaho. megan (my director) is going to help me, to trian me. i am SO excited! i can share my testimony about food storage at every party! and guess what. i don't even feel bad about selling this stuff because EVERYONE needs food! this is such a great company that does so much good and is involved with amazing humanitarian efforts (they teach people how to farm so those farmers can teach others and all feed their towns). its fantastic! i'm super excited to progress more in this company :)

Today...

going to work at 8am instead of 6:45-7am = nice
having one of her younger "kids" light a match in their room and lie about it = stressful
eating a jr bacon cheese burger AND frosty for the 1st time in at least a year = fattening yet satisfying
getting locked out of her bank account b/c they think fraud was committed (during the days that her credit card needs to be paid off so she keeps her lovely credit score) = serious motive to...yeah.
spending a little time with the Turpins = heart warming
going to a Shelf Reliance party as a consultant-to-be = MAJOR blessing

Oh the blessings

when jacob and i got set apart for our nursery callings we were told that we'd be getting blessings. i knew everyone gets blessings, but for a while i felt like i was being gypt a little. it was a rough time. but i'm seeing the blessings and i'm SO very thankful!
dad is letting us take the car to idaho for a little while until we can get our own.
my mom-in-law is helping me develop skills that i may or may not have.
the weather has been very nice
we got a wonderful couch at a very reasonable price that can be put into our apartment before we move in!
my new licence came in the mail.
i found a swimsuit online that will hopefully work.
i get this coming friday off and get to go in to work next mon-thurs at 8am instead of 7am! (i'll have all 5 kids which cuts out nap time, so i'm MORE than content about the 8am)
today is friday and i'm going to see a movie with my husband tonight. Battle: LA or something like that. its going to be on the big big BIG screen :)
my dad-in-law is going to drive up with us to ID to help bring our stuff and move in a little.
tonight we are having breakfast for supper. i LOVE breakfast for supper btw.
jacob is trying to provide one not-so-stressful day for me, so we're going to go to the beach next saturday i think. then i can get a lil tan before we go back to the end of winter in rexburg. lol
i got a new phone. i LOVE my new phone. i helped me get our couch!
jacob got my brother's phone line. that means we can talk and text more! that = less depression for me ;)
i haven't had as many headaches this week as i have the past 2 weeks.
those are a couple of the blessings that i have noticed the past week or so. i am extremely thankful for these and the fact that i have this blog so i can write them down and always have them to remember.
yay!

New project!

so...i've started a new project! i'm going to make a dress. and a bag, but a dress 1st, i think. my dear mother-in-law is helping me out and, if we get stuck, we have grandma living less than 5mins away. both of my grandma-in-law-s sew. its so cool! lol. i thought i should do something productive with my life at home once in a while, so i figured i'd make myself an easter/summer dress. the fabric that i picked out is kinda girly, so i'm a little worried about that. it is going to be the dress in the top left, with hopefully the straps from the bottom dress. then i can wear short sleeved ummm...i think What Not to Wear calls them cardigins, or long sleeved ones. yay!
i'm excited to try this and see if i'm any good at sewing. i've always wanted to buy a sewing machine and just go at it, but i've never really made much with a pattern. i'm SUPER excited to make something that will hopefully fit my chest AND my waist that is long enough, you know? i know my chest doesn't always look that large, but it is and causes a bunch of stress in my life (the current stress (as it is every year) is swimsuits). maybe one day i'll sew well enough to make my OWN swimsuit! that would be the day... :)
i'll let you know when i get started on my bag.
