being 27 weeks pregnant and having over 31 braxton hicks in one day so you have to move up your doctor appointment 3 days. and then going to the doctor and having her say that she'd like you to go to the hospital and be monitored to make sure everything is alright.
pros and cons to my hospital trip:
pro:get to see how the birth center is set up and get the feel of it.
con: having to sit in a gown with thingys strapped to my tummy for at least 1 1/2hrs and having my lower back killing me but I shouldn't wiggle too much.
funny moment: having to list all of my food allergies and trying to remember what happens when I cheat and eat them.
con: STARVING and not being able to eat anything even after begging my hubby to find a vending machine and buy me chocolate.
pro: watching Bones with my hubby.
con: being given two huge glasses of ice water and having to drink them so I could leave.
I'm very grateful that Jacob and I didn't have to work that day so he could go with me and we weren't at rushed. I am also grateful that the birth center didn't feel too much like a hospital and they have wifi and nice nurse people and don't even have a nursery except for the the middle of the night if there are enough nurses working (the baby says in the room with you!) the downfall is that I have heard they are a little difficult and pushy when it comes to making decisions about your baby. Jacob and I have to check out the other hospital that we have an option of.
6 1/2 months down...LESS THAN 3 1/2 MONTHS!
