My adventure to ID and an update of college...
i've been crazy busy. haha. i have even updated this thing in forever. my bad...
Anyways... geoff and i drove up to ID from TX. that was quite the adventure. here are some pics from our trip:
packing up to leave!
it took us almost 6 HOURS to get out of TX from Dallas. it was pretty much cruel and unusual punishment... lol
boredom!!!
i LOVE clouds :)
pretty much lived on these, peanut m&m&m's, and water. lol. it was fun!
i loved this room SO much!
i totally felt my Savior's love. it was amazing :)
hehehe, shhhh....
geoff had fun taking pics like these
this is so precious
the Joseph Smith lobby. my future castle will look like that. lol
i was 26 floors up!
hey look! there's a wedding! shocker...hehe
haha...yeah...
i believe this is the original! it's about as long as a truck thingy! like the ones that you pull your arm and they honk. lol
stuck at the auto shop. mindy needed a doctor...
waiting for the tram
geoff tried to make buttermilk pie. the climate change wasn't in his favor... it was food though. lol
toni went with us to this is the place. it was pretty fun
i have also been cliff jumping off of a 30ft cliff! it was terrifying and SO cold. lol. but i needed to do it at least once. don't think i'll ever do it from that height again though... maybe 20ft...haha. my classes are pretty good. i really like my professors, which is always a good thing. i'm such a procrastinator when it comes to homework. need to work on that. i got a calling as the RS chorister :) it's harder work than it looks, but very rewarding to be able to set the spirit for the meeting. you know? i love it! i got a letter from jakob carstens! it was awesome! totally made my week :D and i talk to sister G on the phone pretty much everyday, even if it's just for less than 3mins. rebecca, my roomie roommate, is pretty cool. she's 21 and from long beach, CA. she and i are the oldest out of the 6 of us and at first i was worried about rooming with her, but i don't think i'd be happier any other way :) 3 of my roommates and i went latin dancing one night and then a couple weeks later we dressed up and went to an off-campus 80's dance. it wasn't that exciting so emily and diane went home while rebecca and i went to another private dance party, which turned out to be SO much more fun. we got whistled at and everything walking to and from the dances in our getup. haha. we were hyper so it was fun!
we also went to get our hair done a couple of weeks ago! it was my first time getting my hair cut in a salon and i was nervous, but i think it turned out quite nicely. this past weekend was general conference. i watched all 4 and loved them! it snowed last night and today as well! craziness... but i think it's already melting. that doesn't stop those TX, AZ, CA, NM...kids from building snowmen and making snow angels. haha. i love the first snow! well, when it actually stays. i think it's so magical! and even though i dread having to walk in it to classes, i can't help but smile :)
i have to go do homework now...

The plan... what plan?
stress=Kris' life at the moment, future, past, and so on... lol.
i guess it's not so bad, there's just lots to do. my online classes were a little crazy these past couple of weeks. part of that is because of my mad procrastination skills (yeah...) and part of that is because of how insanely HARD my music theory class turned out to be. seriously. then there is housing at BYU-I that i need to find and take care of. unfortunately they are filling up faster than they should, but thankfully i think i found one...at least i applied for one. i need to call them tomorrow. but guess what??? housing really isn't all that important unless i'm actually up there. that right... i have NO clue how i'm getting up there. i'm thinking that i should just start walking up there next week. i can't afford to fly myself, mum, and my lugage up there and my mum back down here plus a rental car and hotel from SLC to Rexburg, PLUS tuition, housing, food, books, life...craziness. so my options right now are renting a car and driving, taking a train of some sort, hitchhiking, or walking/biking it. yeah... oh! and if that wasn't crazy enough, Kris is trying to find time for visiting teaching and her home teachers in her crazy, random, busy schedule. but it's all good. and my talking terms with dad isn't any better than it was a couple of months ago. blah. God doesn't give me anything that i can't handle, right? whatever doesn't break me makes me stronger. i just need to start with my pro/con lists and work from there.
anyways... my mermaid/blue hair turned out pretty well.
i got to hang out with Jakob last monday night! it was so much fun! we fooled around at the mall for a bit and he introduced me to the best cookie cake ever! then we hit Barnes and Noble for a bit before stopping by the Geddies. it was awesome. it always is :)
oooo, i also took the kids to the beach last week and we went to the aquarium! it was pretty darn exciting. i even went into the water! there were jumping fish, which freaked me out, but Becca pulled me in deeper anyways. even though there could be jellyfish, sharks, crabs, diseases... yeah. i learned that i do not have the paitence to make a proper sandcastle. sad, but true. lol. and that Galveston is super easy to drive to, though not too close. i saw penguins at the aquarium! it was awesome!!!
i think i have a photoshoot with my sister this weekend. Krista is taking the pictures and Alissa is coming along. i have mixed feelings about doing this, but KT and Krista want it so alrighty then. i think we're even going to junk yards and stuff if possible, so that should be fun and interesting ;)
Becca and i are on "Bella duty" until about 2am. no problems so far, thank heaven. we were changing Bella's diaper and her trach kept coming out which means the beeping noise begins. Jason came out to check on us right on cue. lol. so here i am writting a blog at 12:30am. it's cool though. i love to help and Bella is so cute! hehe.
kay, i think it's cereal and blanket making time.

Happy July 3rd!
today is my 1/2 birthday!!! this is a VERY exciting and scary day for me! DQ didn't have their amazing DQ ice cream cakes there and i wanted to get a 6inch one for the Turpins and myself. they've never had a DQ cake! don't worry, i'll find a way to get one to them ;) anyways, i made HERSHEY brownies today which should be delicious! *crosses fingers*
it's scary in a way that KT keeps emphasizing that i have only 6 months until i'm 20! OH MY GARAGE DOOR! i mean...seriously, i'll have to start acting mature or something... scary thought...haha.
oh! and tonight i'm going to colour my hair blue! hehe, yeah...total rebel here. don't worry! it washes out over a bit and it's just going to be like an under-tone. maybe a few highlights on top, but that's not for sure yet... i'm very nervous, because i've never done anything like dying it before, but i needed some change and didn't want to dye my whole head of hair so i improvised ;) it's patriotic and slightly rebellious and safe and fun and crazy.
i have a doctor appointment in a couple of hours :( i really hate going to the doctors' office. i don't hate many things cause that's mean, but i really really hate going there. hopefully they can make it so i can hear out of my left ear again, though. i haven't been able to hear very well out of it for almost 2 weeks and i'm tired of it so they're my only hope. sad, but true.
okay, i have to go now and clean up the kitchen before my mum picks me up. TTFN

The weekend and what is to come...
yes, it's getting very late and i should be sleeping, but i just got the impression to write on here so i am. haha. hmmm, where do i start? graduation was pretty good. actually, it was super boring. lol, i'm not going to lie. what made it totally worth it, though, was at the end of the ceremony when the students were walking back in their lines. Drew was walking and looked our way, so i waved and he waved back, but unfortunatly for him, there was a chair in his general walking area and he stumbled over it. hehe. thankfully he quickly got over it and threw his arms in the air like he was the champion of the greatest competition in the world. it was amazing! after the graduation we went out to eat at his favorite resturant as a family. it was fun and delicious! Brother Curtis did a little speech thing about how it was a big deal for their family cause Drew was going to BYU for a while and Chad was going on a mission for 2 years. it was a sad but very exciting moment. then we went home and all of us were exhausted and super full so a couple of us laid down to take a nap and then my mum picked me up that evening after my sister and i said a weird goodbye to Drew since he'd be leaving the next day. now realizing that he is very far away for a long period of time is a little harder for me than i thought it'd be. i'm pretty good at saying goodbye/see you later (i've had quite a bit of practice), but i've only had a couple that really got me the way this one did. going from spending most nights with him and his family to cold turkey is more difficult than it was supposed to be. ugh, this is so dumb.
anyways...i'm pretty excited for this summer, because i should be getting a pretty good tan! (hopefully) the girls i nanny for and i might be heading to the pool a couple times each week :)
i have to sign up for classes this week for the Fall semester. i really don't know what i'm going to sign up for. i mean, i do, but i need to make sure i get what i need and am happy with what i think i should want. yeah, a little crazy, but it should work out in the end. housing. now THAT is what is making me nervous... and the plane/hotel/car rental prices make me worry. i think i have a lot of praying and fasting to do. i'm so thankful for the gospel in my life. it's gotten me this far and i know it will help me through so much more.
kay, time to lay this little head down and get some shut eye.
